Finally, something about noodles…

… well, almost but not quite. Tomorrow I’ll be posting a recipe for stir fried rice cake noodles! Many of you have probably never seen these weird things before. You don’t normally even find them in Chinese restaurants. It’s not because they’re difficult to get hold of but because this is real Chinese home cooked food which typical Cantonese families tend to make only at home!

However, any good Chinese supermarket/shop will stock these and they only cost a couple of quid for a packet.

Because they’re dried, you have to soak them for 24 hours before you cook them, hence no recipe or details until tomorrow when they’re ready… 🙂

Patience is a virtue - these rice cakes are worth the 24 hour soak required
