The ultimate hunk martini

A lovely bartender in Farringdon made this drink for me about two years ago but wouldn’t give me his recipe so I decided to come home and try and make one myself. Ever since then, this hunk martini has become my garden / summer drink of choice. Served ice cold, it’s a definite party winner and something that seems to appeal to both men and women.

Be warned though, it really packs a punch so feel free to tone down the amount of vodka if you want something a little less lethal!

The ultimate hunk martini

You’ll need a cocktail shaker and lots of ice and whilst it’s shown here served in a traditional martini glass, the yellow and white colour makes it look appetising in whatever glass you choose to serve it in.

Ingredients (makes 2-3 servings)

1 ½ to 2  freshly squeezed limes

250ml fresh pineapple juice

150ml vanilla vodka (plain vodka will do too)

Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker full of ice, shake (vigorously!) and pour. Cheers!

I’ll give it a whirl and try it out on my Rotary friends next Friday night!

    • Would love to know what your rotary friends think. I always use 2 limes but that’s only because I like it really fresh but it really depends on how much you’d like your tastebuds to zing.

  4. Everyone orders wine whether in a restaurant or at our home. But one night I went out to dinner with two friends when my husband was at his book club meeting. Much to my great surprise they each ordered martinis. So naturally I ordered one also. Wonderful! Now I have your recipe for a hunk martini, which I can,t wait to try.
